17 september – Day of National Unity of the Republic of Belarus

Holidays are different: personal, family, professional, and there are special ones - state ones, associated with important events in the life of the state and society.

17 September is an important and significant holiday for every citizen of our country, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 7 June 2021 g. № 206. Он символизирует сплочение народа, unity of all Belarusians, regardless of their origin, religion and social status.

В этот день мы вспоминаем события сыгравшие ключевую роль в белорусской истории – годовщина освободительного похода Красной Армии в Западную Беларусь в 1939 year, as a result of which the Belarusian people, divided against their will, were reunited again under the terms of the Riga Peace Treaty.

The restored unity helped Belarus survive the Great Patriotic War and take an honorable place in the international community, become one of the co-founders of the United Nations.

National unity is a state of unity and solidarity of people, united by common interests, values, culture or history. Our strength is in patriotism, unity, готовности отдавать свои силы, knowledge and talent for the benefit of further development of Belarus. Unity of the Belarusian people, ability to live as a friendly large family, mutual understanding is the most important component, which provide harmony, development and prosperity of our Motherland.

We have something to be proud of, our country has a rich historical past, and the future depends only on us. Only by joining forces and rallying together, we can face any difficulties and reach great heights, so that our Republic of Belarus remains successful, strong and independent state.
