"Belarus against tobacco" started in the Gomel region

Republican informational and educational anti-tobacco campaign "Belarus against tobacco" launched in Gomel region.

Every year, on the last day of May, the entire planet celebrates World No Tobacco Day., during which people are encouraged to quit smoking.

The Ministry traditionally supports the WHO initiative and conducts the republican anti-tobacco information and educational campaign "Belarus against tobacco". This year it runs with 17 May on 6 June.

The action aims to raise public awareness of the link between tobacco smoking and lung disease, as well as the prevention of tobacco consumption, which is one of the important measures to reduce the number of diseases, smoking related.

During the anti-smoking campaign "direct" telephone lines will work: on the basis of U "Gomel Regional Narcological Dispensary" with a psychiatrist-narcologist with 14.00 -15.00 by phone 8 (0232) 34-01-66; with a psychologist with 12.00-13.00 by phone 8 (0232) 51-21-94 (Besides 28.05 and 01.06); on the basis of the State Institution "Gomel Regional Hygiene Center, epidemiology and public health "consultations of specialists of the department of public health with 10.00 to 11.00 hours by phone: 8 (0232) 33-57-82, 33-57-24.
