VACCINATION AGAINST COVID-19 "Gam-COVID-Vac"!

Combined vector vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus infection, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus – «Gam-KOVID-Vak». Vaccinations are subject to persons, have not been sick with COVID-19 and have no contraindications

Temporary contraindications:

  • acute infectious and non-infectious diseases;
  • exacerbation of chronic diseases;
  • contact with a patient with Covid-19 or with a suspicion of this disease less, than for 14 days before vaccination (vaccination is carried out after 14 days from the moment of contact);
  • when suffering an acute infection between 1 and 2 vaccine administration, the second component should be introduced within the interval 21 day or, as fast as possible, after recovering from an acute infection.

After recovery from an acute infection or the onset of remission, vaccination is carried out through 2-4 weeks. For mild ARVI, acute infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract – vaccination is allowed after normalization of temperature.

Permanent contraindications to vaccination:

  • hypersensitivity (history of anaphylactic reactions) to components of a vaccine or vaccines, containing similar components;

severe post-vaccination complications (anaphylactic shock, severe generalized allergic reactions, convulsive syndrome, temperature is higher 40 ° С, etc.) for the introduction of component I of the vaccine;

  • pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • age up to 18 years old.

Vaccination of people with immunodeficiency diseases and diseases, in which immunosuppressive therapy is performed (oncological, autoimmune). The safety and efficacy of the vaccine has not been studied in these populations., in this connection, vaccination question (benefit / risk) should be decided by the immunological commission.

Before vaccination, it is imperative that you:

  • medical examination by a doctor – specialist: with body temperature measurement, collection of an epidemiological history, saturation measurement, examination of the pharynx on the basis of which the specialist doctor determines the absence and (or) the presence of contraindications to vaccination;

Vaccination is carried out in two stages:

  • first, component I is administered in a dose 0,5 ml. The drug is injected intramuscularly into / 3 of the shoulder. 0
  • on 21 day component II is administered in a dose 0,5 ml. The drug is injected intramuscularly into / 3 of the shoulder.

During 30 min after vaccination, we ask you to stay in a healthcare facility to prevent possible allergic reactions and post-vaccination complications.

After vaccination on the first or second day, short-term general (short-term flu-like syndrome, chilly, increased body temperature, arthralgia, myalgia, asthenia, general malaise, headache) and local (soreness at the injection site, hyperemia, swelling) reactions.

Less common nausea, dyspepsia, decreased appetite, sometimes – enlargement of regional lymph nodes. Development of allergic reactions is possible. It is recommended not to wet the injection site within 3 days after vaccination, do not go to the bathhouse (a sauna), do not take alcohol, avoid excessive physical exertion.

With redness, swelling, soreness of the vaccination site take antihistamines (suprastin, fencarol, loratodine).

If the body temperature rises after vaccination, take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (paracetamol, nimesulide, etc.).

COVID-19 vaccine does not replace the need for a vaccinated patient to wear masks and gloves, and also maintain social distance.
