In modern world, where we have access to a variety of food, Seems, that satisfying our hunger is as easy as shelling pears. but, Not all food is equally good for our health, and this is confirmed by numerous studies, which indicate a connection between our diet and various diseases, such as obesity, heart diseases, diabetes, etc.

International Day of Healthy Eating, which is celebrated 16 October every year, reminds us once again of the problems, associated with poor nutrition and its consequences.

A balanced diet is a balanced diet, gender-specific, age, health conditions, lifestyle, nature of work and professional activity, climatic conditions of the patient's residence.

A properly formulated diet increases the body’s ability to resist negative environmental factors., promotes health, increasing efficiency, active longevity.

A healthy diet should consist of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and cereal products, nuts, seeds and dry beans, dairy products, poultry, eggs and lean meat.

Some useful rules for healthy eating:

  1. Try to eat a variety of foods and use different cooking techniques (to cook, put out, fry, steam or bake).
  2. "Don't starve! Better more often and a little, than rarely and in large portions". To maintain food and energy balance throughout the day you need to not be hungry.
  3. If you want to change something in your diet, primarily, reduce the amount of sugar, year, vinegar, candies and other sweets.
  4. Limit your consumption of sausage, industry, margarine and maynes, this will reduce the risk of developing cancer and help maintain stable weight.
  5. Drink clean water, natural juices, tea, compote. The amount of liquid is not less than 1,5 l. per day (in the absence of contraindications).
  6. Try to eat a variety of vegetables and fruits. The World Health Organization recommends consuming at least 400 grams of vegetables, fruits and berries.
